I searched for
three individuals that had similar views as myself. I value their words of inspiration and
motivation to continue in the field of early childhood education.
Abigail Adams Eliot
“The most
important thing is to enjoy children, to love them, be fair and just with them.
If you do that, they're pretty likely to come out all right," she told
supporters of the nursery school when she was starting it.”
Marcy Whitebook
''There's all
this talk now about how important the early years are and how important
education is,'' Ms Whitebook said, ''but as a society we are going to have to
put our money where our mouth is. We have to value child care teachers more,
and there is some movement in that direction in a few states and in some of the
child care legislation that is before Congress.''
Louise
Derman-Sparks
“I had a built in passion that it was important to make a
real contribution to the world and to fix all the injustices that existed in
the world and I wanted to do that through teaching”
I love Ms. Spark's quote, we must value childcare teacher more!!!
ReplyDeleteDaphnie,
ReplyDeleteIt is true that we must value the teachers that take so much time to teach our children. With this same thought in mind, it is necessary to promote ongoing trainings and professional development.
I think that her statement is true. Its important the children know their worth.
